Petronas Towers

PROJECT OVERVIEW: Soaring 1,483 feet above Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Petronas Towers blend modern architecture with Islamic design motifs, including their signature eight-pointed star floor plan. The towers house offices for Petronas, international corporations, and cultural venues such as a concert hall, while drawing millions of visitors annually to their observation decks.

The exterior is clad in glass and stainless steel, which Pelli famously described as “multifaceted diamonds sparkling in the sun.” At the base of the towers, OVERLY Panel Systems by East Coast contributed to the distinctive architectural detailing with custom-fabricated painted aluminum panels for our Bermuda XP® System, featured on the dome roof.
